Tender Engineer – Space Institutional Market (RF & Communications)
We have been making the future of space exploration possible since 1967
At Sener Aerospace and Defence, our passion for technology has positioned us as a trusted partner in the space sector, delivering innovative solutions for leading institutional customers such as ESA, NASA, and JAXA. We work across a wide range of space systems, including communications, RF, navigation (CNG/AOCS), power supply, and electromechanical solutions for satellites in Earth orbit and interplanetary missions.
To reinforce our activity in the institutional space market, we are looking for a Tender Engineer to join our team at the Tres Cantos work center, with a strong focus on institutional tenders, bid preparation, and technical-commercial proposals for European space programs.
Mission
As a Tender Engineer, your mission will be to support and strengthen Sener’s position in the institutional space market, contributing to the preparation of competitive and compliant proposals for ESA, EC, and national space agencies.
You will play a key role in the analysis of calls for tenders, coordination of technical inputs, and preparation of proposals, working closely with engineering, project management, and finance teams. This role combines technical understanding with a strong commercial and proposal-oriented focus.
This position is well suited both for professionals with experience in tendering, bid management, or proposal engineering, and for engineers with a technical background who are motivated to transition towards tender and business development activities within the space sector.
What you will do
Analyze institutional calls for tenders and requests for proposals (ESA, EC, national programs).
Coordinate and prepare technical and commercial proposals, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and evaluation criteria.
Act as a key interface between engineering teams and commercial stakeholders during the bid phase.
Contribute to the definition, structuring, and continuous improvement of offer and tender management processes.
Support the commercial positioning of Sener’s RF, antennas, and communication-related solutions.
Participate in clarification phases, proposal reviews, and customer interactions during the tender process.
Support the identification of new opportunities within institutional and technology development programs.
What we expect from you
We are looking for motivated professionals with a technical background and strong interest in tendering and proposal activities. The ideal candidate will have:
An engineering or technical degree, preferably related to space, telecommunications, RF, electronics, or similar fields.
Experience or strong interest in tender engineering, bid management, or proposal preparation, ideally in institutional or public-sector environments.
General familiarity with ESA, EC, or national space programs and procurement processes (deep expertise is not mandatory).
Ability to understand complex technical content and translate it into structured, high-quality proposals.
Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
Proactive attitude and willingness to develop a career at the intersection of technology and commercial activities.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
What we offer
At Sener, we believe people are the key to our success. We offer:
Participation in high-impact international institutional space programs.
A role that combines engineering knowledge with tendering and commercial activities, with clear development opportunities.
Flexible working conditions, including remote work options and adaptable schedules.
A comprehensive benefits package, including flexible remuneration, private medical insurance, and life and accident insurance.
Well-being initiatives and continuous professional development programs.
A strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities, recognized by our efr certification.
If you are an engineer interested in tendering and proposal activities within the space sector—or a Tender Engineer looking to grow in an international technological environment—we would be delighted to hear from you. Let’s shape the future together—as far as you want to go.
