Our office in Toronto is seeking a B.I.M. Modeler with an electrical background to join our Toronto team.
This is a position to work on projects in the rail (High Speed, Metro, LRT, streetcars) industry in the Toronto office. This is a mostly office based role with high interaction within a team environment.
The Responsibilities in this role include:
- Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, and layouts from sketches in the areas of Rail & transit specific design for our clients
- Revit modelling and drawing
- AutoCAD drawing preparation
- experience with electrical systems
- Conduct quality control checks of design drawings
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an Electrical Engineering university or college program
- Must have 5-7 years of experience preferably with an Engineering firm
- Rail engineering experience a strong asset but not needed
- Proficiency in Revit
- Proficiency in Civil 3D is required
- AutoCAD proficiency is an asset
- Meticulous attention to detail essential
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Exposure to a construction environment would be considered an asset
- Exposure to Structural design would be an asset
- Ability to multi-task in a multidisciplinary environment
- Exceptional organizational, prioritizing and time management skills
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Good oral and written communication abilities essential
