Material & Warehouse Manager – Energy Project (M/F/V) - Germany

At Sener Energy, we are currently looking for a Material & Warehouse Manager to join one of our projects in Berlin.
The selected professional will be responsible for coordinating, controlling, and optimizing the management of materials, equipment, spare parts, and consumables within the project, ensuring proper reception, storage, traceability, preservation, inventory control, and on-site delivery in line with planning, quality, safety, and cost requirements.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Managing the project warehouse, including reception, inspection, identification, storage, preservation, and dispatch of materials.
Coordinating inbound and outbound logistics of materials, equipment, and components to and from the project site.
Ensuring full physical and documental traceability of received materials.
Supervising material reception against purchase orders, delivery notes, packing lists, quality certificates, and associated technical documentation.
Coordinating with procurement, logistics, construction, planning, quality, and HSE teams.
Controlling inventory levels, minimum stock, critical materials, and site consumables.
Managing discrepancies, damages, shortages, surpluses, and non-conformities.
Implementing storage, preservation, and handling procedures according to project requirements.
Ensuring proper storage of sensitive materials such as electrical equipment, instrumentation, piping, valves, rotating equipment, steel structures, and other industrial supplies.
Preparing periodic reports on material status, inventory, incidents, and forecasted needs.
Managing warehouse teams, logistics operators, subcontractors, and support staff.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements in all storage and handling activities.
Supporting the construction team by ensuring timely availability of materials.
Coordinating preservation activities for equipment during storage.
Maintaining updated material management systems used within the project.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience in material management, warehouse operations, site logistics, or material control within industrial or energy projects.
Proven experience in EPC projects, industrial construction, power plants, Oil & Gas, hydrogen, renewables, energy infrastructures, or process plants.
Experience managing site warehouses in international projects.
Strong knowledge of material reception, inspection, storage, preservation, inventory control, and dispatch.
Experience in material-related documentation control: purchase orders, certificates, delivery notes, packing lists, NCRs, MRBs, and quality dossiers.
English level C1 or higher (mandatory).
Availability to be based in Germany (Berlin) during the execution phase of the project.
Knowledge of digital tools for material management (ERP, SAP, advanced Excel, or warehouse control systems).
Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
Strong focus on safety, quality, planning, and cost control.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in projects in Germany or Central Europe.
Knowledge of German language.
Experience with preservation procedures for industrial equipment.
Experience handling electrical materials, instrumentation, mechanical equipment, piping, valves, steel structures, and packaged units.
Educational background in logistics, engineering, supply chain, industrial construction, or similar fields.
Certifications in logistics, warehousing, industrial safety, or material management.
