At SENER we know that, with the right people on board, everything is possible. Currently, we are looking for a Lead Planner to join us in our downtown Toronto office. This role would have site visits to an east end office as well.
Responsibilities of the Planner:
Your mission will be to plan the assigned project through the development and updating of the baseline and other control systems that are established according to the needs identified in each case.
Your main tasks will be:
Prepare the project Baseline by coordinating the information received from the different members of the project: technical disciplines, partners, subcontractors, contract managers, etc.
Work closely with Project Management in the control and monitoring of the sequence and deadlines of the project, anticipating problems associated with the deadline that may arise and proposing mitigating measures
Regularly update the program at its different levels
Follow-up and reporting of the degree of compliance with the plan, guaranteeing accurate and timely reports of the progress, control and follow-up of the works for the Project Management
Functional integration of the information received from the different members of the project
Participate in project monitoring meetings
Facilitate regular deadline follow-up meetings
Assess the impact of delay events on schedules, as well as those related to change management.
Ensure the technical quality of the project program
Role Qualifications:
Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in engineering, preferably in Civil Engineering
Minimum experience of 8 to 10 years in planning multidisciplinary engineering projects
Rail & transit experience is mandatory-preferably with local transit projects and with a design\consulting firm
It will be necessary to have proven experience in Primavera P6 and TILOS, as well as in the use of spreadsheets at a medium-advanced level
Languages: English knowledge of French and Spanish is an asset but not mandatory
Interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent ability to work on a team
Availability to travel
Must be based in the greater Toronto area already
Ability to come into the office at least 3 days per week (hybrid)
