We are looking for a Senior Traction Power Supply Engineer to join our Rail & Metro team in the UAE, where you'll play a key role in the design and technical delivery of railway traction and power supply systems.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Lead the design and technical delivery of traction and railway power supply systems across concept, preliminary, detailed, and IFC design stages.
Develop and review traction power supply designs, technical specifications, calculations, reports, drawings, equipment schedules, and engineering documentation.
Develop and review traction power supply architectures including power distribution, traction substations, feeder systems, return circuits, protection systems, and associated railway electrical infrastructure.
Carry out and review traction power load assessments, load flow studies, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit studies, protection coordination, earthing, and other relevant electrical system studies.
Coordinate traction power designs with Rolling Stock, Signaling, Train Control, SCADA, Telecommunications, Civil, Track, MEP, Electrical, and other railway disciplines.
Develop and manage traction power interfaces with other railway systems and wider electrical infrastructure.
Lead multidisciplinary design reviews, technical workshops, interface coordination, constructability reviews, and value engineering activities.
Review technical proposals, supplier information, engineering documentation, design submissions, RFIs, and equipment specifications.
Prepare technical responses to design queries and resolve complex traction power design and coordination issues.
Review traction power equipment installation requirements and supplier documentation to ensure alignment with approved designs.
Provide technical support during traction power systems installation, integration, testing, and commissioning where required.
Ensure traction power designs comply with client requirements, project specifications, applicable railway standards, and Sener quality procedures.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers within the traction and power supply discipline.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
12–13 years of overall engineering experience.
Minimum 10 years of mandatory Rail & Metro experience.
Proven experience in the design and delivery of traction power and railway power supply systems.
Strong understanding of railway traction power systems, power distribution, traction substations, feeder systems, return circuits, protection, earthing, and railway electrical interfaces.
Extensive experience with traction power load flow, short-circuit, voltage drop, protection coordination, earthing studies, and other relevant electrical system studies.
Experience coordinating traction power designs with Rolling Stock, Signaling, Train Control, SCADA, Telecommunications, Track, MEP, and other railway systems.
Experience developing and reviewing technical specifications, system architectures, engineering calculations, drawings, equipment schedules, and design documentation.
Strong knowledge of applicable railway electrical and traction power standards.
Proficiency in relevant electrical engineering and power system analysis software; experience with AutoCAD and BIM/digital engineering platforms is an advantage.
Experience delivering designs across concept, preliminary, detailed, and IFC design stages.
Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with international engineering consultancies.
Experience working with railway system integrators or major rail contractors.
Experience in highly automated railway environments and integrated transportation systems.
Familiarity with GCC and UAE project requirements.
Experience with BIM-enabled design coordination and digital engineering workflows.
Experience supporting traction power systems installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and technical verification.
Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent professional registration is an advantage.
