Currently, we are looking for an amazing Civil 3D Modeler to join our growing team to work on transformational and Iconic LRT, and subway extension projects. This role is hybrid to be based out of our downtown office. Must come into the office minimum 3 days per week.
The Civil 3D Modeler will have firsthand experience in creating and managing Civil 3D elements such as alignments, profiles, corridors, and surfaces, as well as modeling pressure and gravity pipe networks. Familiarity with Revit and Dynamo is highly desirable to support cross-platform coordination and automation tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage Civil 3D models including alignments, profiles, corridors, surfaces, and grading.
- Create and maintain pressure and gravity pipe networks with accurate metadata and connectivity.
- Collaborate with engineers and BIM coordinators to ensure model accuracy and compliance with project standards.
- Integrate Civil 3D models with Revit for multidisciplinary coordination.
- Use Dynamo scripts to automate repetitive modeling tasks and data management workflows.
- Participate in clash detection and coordination meetings using Navisworks and BIM 360.
- Support the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
- Maintain organized model documentation and version control across platforms.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documentation and visualizations.
- Design, create, and manage complex Civil 3D corridors using custom subassemblies built in Subassembly Composer.
- Ensure corridor models meet project specifications by integrating geometry, targets, and design constraints, and by troubleshooting corridor behavior and performance.
- Generate accurate 3D solids from Civil 3D corridor models and other design elements.
Assign and manage object parameters to support downstream workflows such as BIM coordination, quantity takeoffs, and clash detection.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in BIM modeling using Civil 3D
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360
- Experience with pipe network modeling (pressure and gravity systems)
- Local Rail and transit project experience needed
- Working knowledge of Dynamo for Revit automation
- Understanding of BIM standards and workflows (e.g., ISO 19650, BEP)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in infrastructure projects such as transit, tunnels, or utilities
- Local experience (not mandatory)
- Autodesk Certified Professional (Civil 3D or Revit) is an asset
- Large project experience is a must
